Modern Tallow
(for modeling and carving)
Modern tallow, when worked by hand, quickly softens to the consistency of artist's clay. It can be manipulated into any shape or built up on any support structure to create sculptures of amazing size and complexity. Modern tallow can be added to or taken off and trimmed with tools and knives until perfection is achieved.
Modern tallow is also suitable for any tallow project that involves carving with tools and sharp knives to produce a finished sculpture. Modern tallow is ideal for intricate detail work, and produces a sculpture of impressive durability.
Modern tallow is available in white, butter, cheddar or chocolate.

Casting Tallow
An extremely firm tallow that cannot be softened by hand and requires great effort to carve on any large scale. It is intended to be melted and poured into molds to produce the final sculpture. Its resulting hardness makes casting tallow ideal for the sometimes rigorous unmolding process, especially with one piece rubber molds. Available in white, butter, cheddar and chocolate.
