Silicone plastique™ is not a liquid, but instead has the consistency of dough. It can be applied by hand to almost any surface or rolled out between two sheets of wax paper. Cure time is only one hour to yield a pliable, yet durable, rubber mold that is suitable for direct food contact. Silicone Plastique™ resists temperatures below freezing and up to 400 degrees F. Because you apply only the amount you need, you save on quantity of silicone used compared to liquid silicones. "Very Cost Effective." Absolutely perfect for chocolate, butter, tallow, cheese, sugar, pastillage, hippen and ice molding.

Step 2
Silicone Plastique™ has the consistency of clay. Equal amounts of Part A (blue) and Part B (white) are scaled by weight or volume.
Parts A and B are combined and kneaded until uniform color is achieved. Silicone Plastique™ can be flattened by hand or rolled with a pin between sheets of wax paper.

Step 4
A small amount of plastique is rubbed into detail of medallion. Medallion is pressed into Silicone Plastique™ that has been rolled out twice the thickness of the medallion.
Silicone Plastique™ has a work time of about 20-30 minutes and a cure time of about an hour at room temperature. Silicone Plastique™ should be allowed to fully cure before removing medallion.
Step 5
Step 6
Chocolate is poured into cured mold. Silicone Plastique™ is food safe and can be used with butter, chocolate, poured sugar, tallow, pastillage, gelatine, cheese, etc. Stable to 450 degrees F and unaffected by freezing.
With a flex of the mold, a perfect chocolate copy of medallion pops out of mold, ready to garnish your favorite dessert.

Safe-D-Clay™
Safe-D-Clay™ is made from non-toxic materials that are completely compatible with silicone mold making compounds. Safe-D-Clay™ is softened by kneading and applied to the backs of thin objects, such as lace, to thicken them before making a mold. Safe-D-Clay™ can also be carved or modeled to create an original sculpture. When making two-piece molds, use Safe-D-Clay™ to cover one half of the original object, thereby establishing the parting line.
-Please note that Safe-D-Clay™ is not used to make a mold by itself.-

The DITS
Anchor Dit™
An adhesive paste made from non-toxic ingredients that holds an object in place during the mold making process.
Anchor-Dit creates strong suction between an object and the work surface but is not permanent glue, allowing the
object to be released when the mold-making process is done.
Seal Dit™
Food-grade sealing agent that can be applied with a brush onto: plaster, cloth, paper, wood and other porous
materials. Sealing a porous surface is imperative when making molds, especially with RTV silicone.
Release Dit™
Non-toxic, food grade release agent that can be applied with a brush. Release-Dit forms an excellent coating on
any surface ensuring easy release of cured mold rubber. Release-Dit is unsurpassed at keeping one silicone part
from bonding to another.
IMPORTANT MOLD-MAKING GUIDELINES
- Your work area should be clean and spotless. Avoid dust, grease or oils of any kind.
- When making molds for food, all mold-making materials and objects to be duplicated should be non-toxic and food grade.
- Sulfur ruins silicone compounds. Sulfur is present on latex gloves and in many forms of clay.
- Always test a surface for compatibility before applying silicone mold-making materials
- Finished silicone molds can be washed with hot water and soap and also sanitized.
- Keep your molds clean at all times.
